Crater Lake! I'm here! I think I'm as excited to be here as I was getting to Kennedy Meadows. It's hazy so the lake doesn't have that bright blue hue but its still gorgeous. There were several hikers at the Mazama Village store including Busted Magic. I hadn't seen her since Etna so it was good to see her. I had a big breakfast and got my resupply box. Then hikers/trail angels Early Girl and Water Boy drove up. They are the angels who gave me a ride to the trail from kickoff. They were hiking this year but Water Boy fell and fractured his leg. Anyhow, I'm spending the rest of the day with them and will hike on in the morning.

ReplyDeleteIt has been wonderful to read your blog! I am all caught up! Wow you certainly have had some crazy adventures! I went Canyoneering in Zion. The canyon is called Imlay! Chris tagged along with us. He asks about you and I tell him how well you are doing, he and Keith think you are awesome! I say, I know you are! Anyhow, I Think of you all the time, while on the heinous hike to the Imlay trailhead, I thought to myself that you have been doing this practically everyday for 3 months! My hat is off to you! In a million years I couldn't do what you are doing! I am so proud of you! Always in my prayers, still hoping I can get to Oregon or Washington to see you? Take care my friend! Glad you are feeling better

This blog is terrific, Lisa. Your words are a great compliment to your pictures. From this vantage point it seems that you've had no technical difficulties. I am really looking forward to reading your blog when you do the AT.
