It was a hot, hard climb but oh so worth it. I'm camped in an open area with several camping spots and an amazing view. I pitched my tent facing Mt Shasta, Castle Rocks, and surrounding mountains. It's beautiful and I should be able to see a lot of stars tonight. This morning I made a sign 'PCT hiker to trail', and got picked up right away. His name is Forest and he moved to this area from Portland six months ago. I really appreciated the ride.
