Happy 4th of July! It was the best 4th ever. I bought town clothes and didn't look like a hiker. It was a relaxing day. We walked around and explored. We went to the beach. It's so strange though the contrast between the trail and town. There are a lot of people here for the 4th and after the solitude of the trail it was just wierd. I didn't get all my chores done but hey, its a holiday. I'll do them in the morning before heading back to the trail. The fireworks were awesome! We were going to watch them from the beach as they were over the lake. But in the process of hunting down an ATM discovered a restaurant on the 19th floor of a casino. It had windows all around and a great view of the fireworks. It wasn't crowded either. So we watched the show from there. The 4th is one of my favorite holidays and I won't forget this one.
